Puppy Adoption Guide

Picture
When it comes to wanting a new puppy from Paradise Kennel, there are two options:

The first option is for families who are ready now to add a puppy to their home. These people will search the website for available puppies and find one they are interested in. Once you have selected a puppy you will fill out the
Adoption Application below. After filling out this application see below for the next steps in the puppy adoption process.
Adoption Application
The second option is for families who will be ready in the near future for a new puppy in their home. If you are serious about getting a puppy from paradise kennel, you will need to get your name on the waiting list. In order to do this, you need to fill out the waiting list application below. After filling out this application see below for the next steps in the puppy adoption process.
WAITING LIST APPLICATION
Due to the high volume of people contacting us in pursuit of purchasing one of our Paradise Puppies, we have no other choice but to use a waiting list in order for people to claim future ownership of a puppy. People on the waiting list always have priority, they will always get a phone call when we add new puppies on the website (If you are ready). Normally our puppies are spoken for as soon as they are born, due to the consistent volume of people on our waiting list. Most of our pups are already reserved by the time their eyes are open (2 weeks old). That's the reason if you are seriously interested in getting a Paradise puppy in the near future, you need to get your name on the list, especially if you want a specific gender or colour.  However, if you are ready now, check the website to see if there are any available puppies and if you are interested in one.
- Since breeding dogs is our passion and full-time profession, we do have puppies more often, especially Havanese since they are our specialty.

Step 1:  Send your puppy adoption application.
Completing this application is a step in the process to acquiring a puppy from Paradise Kennel, but it does not guarantee you will get a puppy from this or any future litter. While it's unlikely, the breeder reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time.

Step 2: If Approved
APPROVAL AND DEPOSIT: I will review applications usually within 24 hours of receipt. Applications are processed in the order they are received. If your home is a good fit, I'll notify you.

If we don’t have a puppy available or YOU'RE NOT READY to choose now.
Once approved, you will be put on the wait list and need to make a 200$ deposit within 24 hours of the approval e-mail.
(Your 200$ will be deducted of the final price of your puppy.)
*** Your 200$ non-refundable deposit is good for 24 months from the date the next litter is born, after your deposit is received, you will be added to our waiting list. ***

If we have a puppy available and YOU'RE READY to choose now.
Once approved, you will need to choose in the puppies available on the website and make a 600-800$ (depending on the value of the pup) deposit needs to be done within 2 hours of the approval e-mail.
*** Your 600-800$ non-refundable deposit is good for 24 months from the date the next litter is born, if for any reason you change your mind and cancel on your puppy. You will be transferred to our waiting list until you notify us that you’re ready to choose in a future litter. ***

Step 3: Then the fun part of waiting begins.
We do update pictures every 2 weeks on our website and our last update is usually a video with his or her litter mates.

Step 4: Shipping & Travelling
We offer shipping all over Canada. We use PetsGo. We've been working with this company for a few years now and they are Great!  They take care of the delivery of our babies, with no stress and worries. They treat every puppy as though it was their own. They ensure your pet will be booked and checked in, to the best flights with the shortest transit time. Petsgo provide a number of different ways to get our puppies into their new homes. They work very hard to cater to our adopter’s busy schedules while always putting the health and safety of our puppies first. Pick Up, Hand Delivery and Air Travel.
Hand Delivery
Due to geographical distance or simply a busy schedule, most of our adopters prefer to have their puppy delivered. Patti at Petsgo understand what it takes to properly care for and protect our puppies during transit. We certainly appreciate her hard work and professionalism. Prices for NL starting at 300.00.  For other destinations, please contact Petsgo for a price.
Delivery by Air
We do use air travel for adopters that are a longer distance away.  All of our puppies have arrived safely to their new homes via air travel and we certainly would not use this type of service if it would potentially harm our babies.

Step 5: Final Payment
Final Payment is usually due 3 weeks prior his or her ready to go date. This is to assure that the puppy will be adopted at the same time as his or her siblings.

What Our Clients Are Saying:

We bought our Bailey a cockapoo from Paradise Kennel in March 2014. I was able to visit the kennel, meet the mom and her pups onsite in a safe, clean kennel. Colette made herself available after we got the pup to answer a lot of questions we had about food and crating. The cockapoo pups from Jenn's litter have a wonderful temperment. They are intelligent, loyal, loving and happy dogs. They often bond strong to one person and are very good with babies, children and other dogs/cats. -LA WEIR (facebook)
